Mak Yang, Jiah and Teha
Last weekend, adik and family came home for birthday celebration at nenek's. As early as 8 in the morning I went to enek's to voluntarily helped with the kitchen chores. I may not be the chef, but sure there was a lot of things to be done as a kitchen helper. I helped washing the dishes (my favourite therapeutic house chore), kopek bawang, washed the fruits that Maksu bought, cut the belimbing buluh, transferred the lauk,kuih,and sirap sunquick into bekas and served them at the dining table, setting up the table by arranging glasses and plates, sweep the floor, and just make sure everything is in clean state. Tired but satisfying was what I felt on that day. I must say I was a little bit sad for some reasons which I'm not gonna mention here. And then, after lunch, we had the same birthday celebration routine we have every month- singing to birthday song and cut the baskin robbins ice cream cake (it's always been strawberry or cookies and cream or both). This time, there was anniversary song too. Happy Anniversary Maksu and Uncle Popeye :D
Jiah and Teha got their birhday presents - Sylvanian Families toys which I used to love as a kid.
Back at home, I was exhausted but I couldn't sleep cuz Jiah and Teha needed Mak Yang's attention haha. So I just let them play with the Sylvanian while I tried to rest by laying down and listen to some songs. Then Jiah lay down next to me on bed and wanted to see what song I was listening to. I wanted to amaze her so I played my current Korean song Say Yes and sing it. Jiah was pretty amazed with my Korean slangs and I was like hehehe.
Guess what happened next ? Jiah took over and she played Black Pink songs ! She even know the lyrics oh-em-gee. I was stunned like come on, Jiah just turned 6 kot ?!
"Lagu kanak-kanak takde ke Jiah?" I asked her. Jiah just made a "hello mak yang, tak cool langsung lagu kids duh" look and continued singing jiwang songs hahaha.
We both sang our favourite jiwang song Peluang Kedua, and then Jiah continued singing her song pulak. Ost 7 Hari Mencintaiku 2. Yes, she remembers every single lyric. hahahahaha. It was after Asar when we had our Karaoke session on bed. I thought that was enough.
But na-ah, karaoke session continues after dinner at her room pulak. This time, I was on the bed laying while Jiah standing in front of me, singing like she's in front of thousands of audiences hahaha. She sang Peluang Kedua over and over again and I was (again) pleasantly surprised that she also knows Andmesh Kamaleng's Hanya Rindu and Cinta Luar Biasa hahaha. I think she likes it when I cheered her up while she was singing.
The next day we took a walk together-me, Jiah and Teha. They were having so much fun just by walking. Nasib baik tak panas ! While walking I taught Teha to count 1-5 with her fingers and she was loving it that she made me repeat a few times. Kids love repetition.
So yeah, no activities like painting/sketching/browsing Mak Long's pictures/watching Boboboi movie last weekend. Just karaoke and strolling around the house.
My babies grown up so fast. No more pampers, can berak sendiri oredi. Mak Yang is sad :(
