Trip to Jengka
So the other day we went to Jengka. Me, mama, abah, Faris, adik & family. Adik was the one initiated the impromptu plan. I said to adik that abah might not want to go cuz 1)not enough money and 2)car's condition not good to drive far. Adik said it's okay. Belanja all ditanggung by adik & pika while the car, we all go in Pika's car.
Jengka trip was a day trip. Me, mama, abah and Faris went to KL the night before to stay one night so that we can all go to Jengka early in the morning. Upon reaching KL, we thought we would eat at adik's house as usual, but adik and Pika had other plans. They wanted to belanja us at Mohd Chan's restaurant. I was surprised and delighted. It's been so long since we all eat at a Chinese Muslim restaurant.
It took us about 20 minutes to reach the restaurant. So, on the way, in the car, I spent precious time with my little niece Jiah whom I only get to meet once a month. Teha was too busy with her phone, so it was only Jiah and me. I learned that Jiah can already recite 3 surah:- Al-Lahab, Al-Fatihah and satu lagi tak ingat. She has also started learning English as well. One of early phrases was "What are you doing?". And then she asked me to teach her new phrases and I taught her some simple but used daily phrases. She's turning 6 this year and I think her brain is like a sponge, wanting to absorb everything that she can learn. I was singing Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud and then she asked me to teach her sing that song. I said no no you budak kecik sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. And then I sang the only English kid song I know.
Upon reaching the restaurant, we let adik and Pika ordered the food for us. I felt like a happy kid. There were fish, prawns, dim sum, baby kailan and tauhu jepun. I heard it costed them about RM300. So expensive but worth every bite.
After dinner, we headed straight home ( adik's house). At first, me and mama wanted to sleep downstairs je, but adik insisted on sleeping upstairs cuz he said the other room already have an aircond. So, I went upstairs with Jiah. I was in awe when I reached upstairs cuz the lantai changed from lantai kayu to tiles, Jiah and Teha's room looked so much nicer, and even their toilet was renovated. I felt happy for them for the upgrade. Jiah and Teha wanted to video call with Mak Long but I was too tired, full, and sleepy, so I had to politely declined and sleep.
The next morning, I woke up early, around 4.30 am. I went downstairs and drank a glass of plain water. It has been my new habit since mama said adik has been doing it since Herbalife days. I felt it was good habit to do. To drink plain water before anything else. And then, I woke abah up, mama, and then the rest.
Around 8 am, we started our journey. Adik brought us breakfast at a new restaurant. I had roti arab ( so nice!) and tauhu bergedil. After breakfast, we headed to Jengka terus. It was a 2-hour journey. Bila dah sampai Jengka, I was not in the mood cuz I was sleepy. So I sleep je kat rumah Tok Anjang. Jiah was angry at me cuz I sleep only haha.
Before sampai Ampang, adik again belanja us dessert pulak. Cheesecake ice cream at McD. And then tu je lah. Our day trip to Jengka. Alhamdulillah all went well.
