Miss Hafizah
My Hafazan journey actually started way back when I was at school. I remember my first ( and only) hafazan contest -I won alhamdulillah. The contest was just testing our hafazan for Juz Amma kalau tak silap. I never really dreamt of becoming a Hafizah, not until 2016.
2016 was the actual start of my hafazan journey. I remember being inspired when watching Hafizh Dunia at TV Al-Hijrah. It was a documentary of hafizh and hafizah all over the world. I remember always felt in awe every time I watch every episode. And that's when I said to myself "I want to memorize the Quran".
I didn't really research on the the benefits of memorizing the Quran. I remember people always say that one of the benefits of Hafizh is, kat akhirat nanti, dia boleh tarik ahli keluarga ( 7 people I think) yang patutnya masuk neraka ke dalam syurga. I'm not sure how true is that, but I find it such an amazing thing if it's true.
I hope, for every letter I recite to memorize the Quran, I will get pahala. I know I need to always perbetulkan niat. Honestly, I'm not sure what's my niat. I think, I'm doing is this is because I wanna be a beneficial person, and I hope, by struggling to memorize the Quran, I benefit someone else in a way ? Because I think, when I'm in this hafazan journey, my parents also get the pahala right ? I hope so..
I started by memorizing Al-Baqarah and that was such a bad start. I wasn't listening when people around me told me start with juz 30 first. Maybe I was kinda ego and I thought I could do it. My target was to memorize Al-Baqarah in one year, but I failed and stopped for a while..
It was mama's birthday (11.10.2019) when I re-started my hafazan journey and kalini, with the help of an ustadh, Ustaz Fazli whom we call him "Ustaz Keluarga" because we would always ask him any questions regarding hukum and Islam. It's been 4 months and I'm so happy to be in this hafazan family. I hope, insyAllah, may Allah ease our journey and we can keep going to this class forever.
So are you memorizing the Quran too? Tell me the hardest surah to memorize in juz 30. Mine is Al-Mutaffifin :)
Love,
Bie
